Dear Friends,
We have one more daily routine that I do not talk about often. If you
work outside the home you may need this routine to keep you focused
on what has to be done to get supper started. It can also be a "get
home from school routine" for the children. You could have both since
they could be several hours apart. You could also adapt this for
those of you that work at home. This is what I do. I have one for
after lunch to keep me focused on calls that need to be returned and
other things that I tend to forget about.
So get out your piece of paper and pencil.
At the top of the page write AFTERNOON ROUTINE
Or AFTER SCHOOL ROUTINE or AFTER WORK ROUTINE
Number the page from 1-5 and leave a little room between the numbers.
1. Get home from work and change clothes and put on lace up shoes.
2. Get dinner started; fill the sink with hot soapy water; clean as I
go!
3. Sit down and drink some water for 5 minutes
4. Set the table and put some candles out
5.
Start thinking about tomorrow right now: Your Before Bed Routines can
start right now not just before you are ready to crash.

Don't let your perfectionism keep from making an afternoon routine.
It can help you bridge the gap between the morning and going to bed
at a decent hour.
